This month we featured Megan and Ryan’s urban Oklahoma City engagement from Randy Coleman Photography.  See their adorable proposal story below!

First introduced on a blind date set up by mutual friends, Megan and Ryan are looking forward to saying, “I do” in September at the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City.

Ryan’s proposal to Megan was one for the books when he surprised her on her graduation day. Megan was led to believe that her grandmother wouldn’t be able to stay in town for her graduation party and felt that no one was making a big deal about this accomplishment. When the graduation ceremony was over, Megan and Ryan rode together to her “graduation” party at her parent’s house where her family was waiting to congratulate the couple. Flustered that her grandmother “couldn’t stay” for the party, Megan had no idea what was coming. When she arrived, Megan opened the front door to find a path of rose petals leading to the backyard of her parent’s home. Confused by the romantic gesture, Megan said that rose petals were an “awkward” touch for her graduation party as she and Ryan proceeded to follow the path outside. Once outdoors, surrounded by a circle of eagerly waiting family and friends including Megan’s grandmother, Ryan knelt down on one knee and asked Megan to spend the rest of her life with him. The rest is history!
