Captured by Katie Hadley Photography, this Oklahoma engagement session’s desert setting makes it feel oh-so-editorial, and it helps that these newlyweds look like models! Heather and Terran’s story began when they first met in college. Heather was competing in the university pageant when Terran saw her from the audience and pointed her out to his friends promising that he would marry her as soon as he saw her – it only took meeting followed by a year of friendship before he let her in on this little secret, though! Terran kept his promise, proposing just two days after their college graduation on a family vacation to Disney World. Now, they are married! Mr. and Mrs. English tied the knot in an intimate October ceremony with 75 of their closest friends and family members at The Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow. They stuck to a color palette of classic black and white and incorporated a theme of Old Hollywood style into their big day. If it’s anywhere near as effortless and chic as their desert engagement session, we can’t wait to take in all the tasteful details! Read on to hear more from the bride about how he proposed. Cheers to Heather and Terran!

From the bride: “I suspected nothing because we were [at Disney World] celebrating his mom and dad’s 50th birthdays and our graduation from college! He proposed in front of the castle at the Magic Kingdom and the park manager happened to be walking by. He asked us to be Grand Marshalls in the parade and gave us VIP seating to watch the fireworks!”
